Mazotos Race Prep Triathlon by Ventus
Date: Saturday, 4th April 2026 | Mazotos, Cyprus
This event is organized by Ventus bringing together the local triathlon community for a focused race-preparation experience.
The Mazotos Race Prep Triathlon by Ventus is an informal triathlon training event designed for local triathletes preparing for early season races or who want to test their race readiness ahead of spring competitions such as IRONMAN 70.3 Venice, Jesolo.
Participants will complete a race-style triathlon consisting of 1 km open water swim, 30 km bike and 8 km run, providing an excellent opportunity to test pacing, nutrition strategy and transitions in realistic race conditions.
The event is free to participate and open to the local triathlon community. While no official timing system will be used, finish order will be observed and the first athletes across the line will be recognized.
Race Format
Open Water Swim: 1 km
Road/TT Bike: 30 km
Run: 8 km
Transitions: Single transition zone used for T1 and T2, located in the parking area near Mazotos beach.
Drafting Policy
Because the event takes place on open public roads without marshals, drafting rules will not be enforced.
Athletes are encouraged to ride safely and respectfully.
Nutrition
A nutrition and hydration station will be available in the transition area providing:
- water
- electrolytes
- basic fueling options
Athletes are strongly encouraged to carry their own race nutrition on the bike and run.
Media Coverage
A photographer and videographer will capture key moments throughout the event. Content will be used for Ventus media and community coverage.

06:00 - Arrival & transition setup
06:30 - Race briefing
07:00 - Swim start
09:30 – 10:00 - Estimated finishing window
10:15 - Recognition of first finishers and community gathering.

Because the event is informal and takes place in an open environment, all participants must understand the following conditions.
Important Notice
This activity is organized as a community training event and not as an officially sanctioned race.
Participants acknowledge and accept that:
- The swim takes place in open water without lifeguard supervision.
- The cycling and running segments take place on open public roads with normal traffic.
- There is no closed course, no race marshals, and no official safety support vehicles.
- Participants take full personal responsibility for their safety and equipment.
All athletes must:
- follow Cyprus traffic laws
- wear an approved cycling helmet during the bike segment
- ensure they are physically capable of completing the distances
By participating, athletes agree that Ventus and the organizers cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur during the activity.
